Caravan Park Assistants to the Managers

Reception Grounds and Allrounders.

We are looking for “Assistants to the Managers” for the “Streaky Bay Islands Caravan Park” located in South Australia. The successful applicants will need to commit to staying at least to the end of our busy season being 3-5 months.

The position offered is for a couple, to work two- and one-half days per week in reception, also including the day-to-day general caravan park duties on those days. (Computer skills are essential for both applicants as they both will need to be able to work in the office reception as required). An RSA certificate will be needed for office liquor sales. (We can assist if needed).

Villas and amenities cleaning work is also a requirement as part of the position offered to both applicants. These cleaning days are for approx. 2-4 hour each per day for three days of each week. As we employ cleaners, your involvement will vary throughout the year. You will need to be flexible.

This position is casual.

Both applicants will need to be able to work in reception, possess excellent computer and people skills, and be able to work as a team.

The min. hours are 30 per week per person (increasing as needed for the high season) and pays casual Fair Work Award Rates, plus superannuation. The current managers are working around 35- 40 hours per week.  Penalty rates apply for weekends and public holidays.

You will be expected to live onsite (an ensuite site for your van is included in the package though you will be required to be on call for your 2 and a half rostered “assistants to the managers days” on as part of the package offered).

Reception hours are 8.30am to 6.00 pm. The “Assistant to the Park Management” roll is rostered for Sunday afternoon, Monday and Tuesday which includes front office and all of the park duties as required.                                                                                            The “Park Managers” work Wednesday to Sunday, and also live onsite.

Training can be provided if required for the right applicants.

The applicants will be required to supply their own caravan, though we may be able to supply an onsite van if needed. As part of the package offered, ensuite accommodation is provided to you at no charge.
