Caretaker Couple for Not for Profit Hire Kart Facility

Moranbah Kart Club is looking for an individual or couple to take care of our Hire Kart facility.

We will supply free onsite parking with power, water and bathroom as well as a refurbed tiny house with kitchenette, living area and small bedroom, all air conditioned and gas cooktop in exchange this requires 4-6 hours per week of caretaking which includes mowing and whipper snipping the grassed areas inside and around our fence line, cleaning the amenities once a week and some general maintenance of the area. Also keeping an eye on the facility.

We then have a paid part of this position which is running the hire kart facility. This includes some administration, customer service, staff supervision, some track maintenance and (we are hoping) kart maintenance. Training is given for our software program. We are open predominantly at the weekends, starting at a minimum of 10 hours, with occasional functions during the week. We could look at a 3 week on 1 week off roster. We would like a 12-month commitment for this. A mechanical background with small engines (4 stroke Honda) would be fabulous but not essential. Running the karts can be a little physical but we have current young staff already employed that are capable of moving stuff around.

An RSA and valid Blue Card is essential for this position.

The track and karts are very popular with our community and the position would suit someone who likes customer service.
