Caretaker & Kiosk Operator – Highfields Pioneer Village Museum & Park
Are you an all-rounder who enjoys working with people and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Highfields Pioneer Village Museum & Park is looking for a friendly, reliable Caretaker & Kiosk Operator to join our volunteer community.
We're a not-for-profit heritage attraction run entirely by volunteers, and this live-in role is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to preserving local history while enjoying a relaxed lifestyle close to shops, the pool, and other essential services.
About You
- Experienced in cleaning, general maintenance, and handyman tasks
- Confident with customer-facing roles and great with people
- Comfortable with touch screen point-of-sale systems (preferred, training is provided)
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (preferred)
- Flexible, self-motivated, and happy to pitch in where needed
Your Role Will Include
- Welcoming guests and providing friendly, helpful customer service
- Day-to-day kiosk operations including customer bookings and transactions
- Cleaning and maintaining amenities to a high standard
- Basic gardening and general handyman repairs
- Maintaining health, safety, and kiosk security compliance
- Assisting with stocktakes and souvenir display as required
- Opportunity to conduct school and aged care group tours (not essential)
Time Commitment
- Tuesday: Kiosk, 9:30am – 2:30pm
- Thursday: Caretaking, 9:30am – 4:30pm
- Sunday: Caretaking, 9:30am – 12:30pm
In Exchange For Free rent / caravan site fees, water, power, and WiFi.
Suits a couple or single person. Centrelink-approved Volunteer Activity. On-the-job training provided.
