Caretaking Couple for Tourism Accommodation Complex East Coast Tasmania

WANTED CARETAKING COUPLE with  PMS (front office) Experience

Dear fellow Grey Nomads,

We are a small family owned and operated tourism accommodation business, set in ins own little village,  located adjacent the beach in Swansea, on the central  East Coast of Tasmania.

We are currently seeking a couple to caretake and assist in the daily operation. The business consists of 5 Lodge rooms,  1 bedroom cabin and 6 self contained cottages.

POSITION         3-5  days per week.  Currently Tues – Thursday. This may increase over the tourism season as we get busier.

Daily Duties:-  RECEPTION/Laundry, maintenance etc and some ground duties plus some extra paid cleaning of guest rooms.

You will be working with and supporting existing cleaning and ground staff as well as the proprietors.

This position is ideally suited to a couple with previous hotel, motel, park management experience as reception is fully computerised with PMS, RMS, Channel Managers and computerised access to all OTA's.  It would be an advantage to have a good background in computers and computer management, sales as well as strong customer relation skills and the ability to work with other staff and the proprietors of course!

This attracts a daily retainer.

There is also some additional paid cleaning available on your working days as well as on other days of the week, so there is considerable potential for a nice weekly income.

The position is well suited to fit, active and well organised persons with good interpersonal and communication skills.

We are seeking a couple to commence early September with a commitment to Easter and beyond!  This may be extended for the right couple to stay on as business demands.

The proprietors reside onsite 3 -5 days a week so are around to oversee and assist the daily operation if required.

There is room on site for your own 5th wheeler, Motorhome or caravan along with power, water and WiFi. A new amenities dwelling may also be available and negotiated as part of a package.

Outside of the peak Christmas period there is ample time to explore not only the local extended east coast but also all parts of Tasmania.
