Tobermorey Station on the Plenty Highway is looking for an Station Chef/Cook. We have a relief position available now until the end of January or a 2021 position available from early 2021 (start neg with applicant). Tobermorey is situated 3hr SW of Mount Isa and 3hr W of Boulia on the Plenty Highway.
We serve 3 meals per day and 1 morning tea to between 20 - 25 station staff, vistors and guests. Breakfast is served at 6am, Lunch at 1pm and Dinner served at 7pm. The kitchen is the hub of our station and we are looking for a charismatic fun loving person who just loves to cook and serve people join our team. You need to have a passion for cooking and excellent hygiene/cleaning skills. We would consider 2 people sharing this role, or a person who is confident cook willing to be trained how to cook for larger numbers. We are a working cattle station and as such our primary protein source is beef which we source on farm so the role is not suited to vegetarian/vegan applicants.
Remuneration is a competitive day rate based on experience, skills and abilities and in accordance with the Pastoral Award. Double bed accommodation with a/c and ensuite can be provided or bring own van. All meals and wifi are included free.
Singles or Couples are welcome. Pets considered but must be under control and able to get along with many animals/dogs at the station.
