- Rugging and worming (mostly) compliant horses.
- Moving a herd from paddock to yards.
- Recognise foundering or other health issues in horses.
- Managing sometimes flighty horses.
You’ll need to be able to safely and efficiently maintain a rural property.

Hidden Valley is 360 acres (70 cleared for pasture, 290 rainforest) surrounded by state forest about 20 minute’s drive from Ourimbah rail station. It is a member-owned co-operative with approx 30 horses on site, some agisted and some owned by the co-operative. Members come and go through the week and have their own accommodation on site. It’s busiest at the weekend with riding instructors, trail riding and other horse and family activities.
The role includes care for member’s agisted horses and you’ll be required to clean and service common areas of the member accommodation so you’ll be working around and often with members. You’ll need to be sociable and collaborative with a can do attitude. You’ll report directly to the board and the Chairman will oversee your work day to day. The nature of the role and this reporting line means that you’ll have a high degree of autonomy, so you’ll need to demonstrate that you’re self-motivated and pragmatic but also that you operate with absolute transparency and integrity.
What we’re offering:
A salaried position paying $40,000 + super with free on site accommodation in a private cottage.
