Description
Due to a couple of cancellations with ill health and one thing and another, I'm now looking to re-fill some spots, working with me on the tourism side of our Darling River Station near Louth NSW.
Dates required are the last week in March, all of May and the last 3 weeks in July 2026
Trilby Station is 320,000, running approx 20,000 merino sheep and a rangeland goat enterprise. Our tourism complex is situated on the bank of the Darling River 25km from Louth, and offers secluded designated river campsites, a few powered sites, 3 self contained cottages and a Shearer's Bunkhouse comprising 9 twin rooms.
We aim to have two couples working at a time which allows for one day off per week and shorter working days, usually around 4 hours per day.
We are looking for couples to help with the following tasks:
- Daily cleaning of the 2 amenities blocks
- Daily tidy of the camp kitchen, gazebo and paved campfire area
- Daily rubbish/recycle collection from the campsites
- Servicing campsites once guests have checked out, replacing firewood. Competent use of a chainsaw please.
- Servicing Mitch's Hut (a new one bedroom cottage) and rooms at the Bunkhouse once guests depart. I take care of the other two cottages, office, catering etc.
- Keeping the campsites and areas around the accommodation neat and tidy, this involves raking leaves and hedge trimming when required.
- Basic maintenance
In lieu of the above we offer:
- A powered site
- Station meat and eggs
- Basic groceries
- A tank of fuel on departure
- $250 'pocket money' per week per couple.
- Station work shirts and caps
- One day off per week.
If you think this position might suit you please get in touch via email at Liz@trilbystation.com.au
Cheers Liz
