We are searching for a friendly, trustworthy, and hands-on person to join us in a unique hybrid role as both a School Bus Driver and our Fleet Coordinator.

As a key member of our small team, you will be a familiar and respected face around town, responsible for our school bus route and the day-to-day care of our eight-bus fleet.

How You'll Contribute:

• 🚌 School Bus Driving: Safely and punctually operate a daily school bus route, ensuring a positive and secure environment for all passengers.
• 🛠️ Fleet Care: Conduct daily pre-start checks (fluids, tyres, belts), manage the external washing of our buses, and ensure they are ready for service each day.
• 🤝 Coordination: Work closely with us and external contractors to schedule maintenance, assist with ordering parts, and move buses to and from service appointments.
• 🔧 Hands-on Support: Assist with small-scale mechanical tasks such as changing belts, fixing minor air leaks, and investigating issues reported by drivers. If you enjoy tinkering and problem-solving, you'll thrive in this role.
• 🌿 Depot & Yard Upkeep: Help maintain our depot and surrounding yard, including mowing, spraying, and general tidying to ensure a safe and professional environment.

What We're Looking For in a Team Member:

✅ Essential Qualifications:

• Current Medium Rigid (MR) driver's licence or higher.
• Current Western Australian PTD (Passenger Transport Driver) Authorisation.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Interstate applicants are welcome—we can assist with WA licence conversion if required.

💰 Competitive Hourly Rate of $45 per hour

Based on approximately 35 hours per week during school terms (40 weeks per year), you can expect to earn around $63,000–$70,000 per annum, depending on hours worked.

We provide a single, self-contained living quarters on-site, including:

• Furnished accommodation (basic but comfortable)
• Shared laundry facilities
• All utilities included (power, water)

Based on current Kununurra rental and utility costs (approx. $400–$450/week for similar accommodation), this benefit adds significant value to your package. Please note: accommodation is tied to yard maintenance responsibilities.

You'll be working in and around our depot (mostly undercover in the shed, though it can get warm during parts of the year), managing multiple priorities, and occasionally working outdoors in the Kimberley climate. If you enjoy variety and taking ownership of your work, this role will suit you perfectly.

Eligibility: Applicants must have full Australian working rights. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
