We are seeking a reliable couple for a long-term caretaker role on a cattle and goat grazing property. This position is ideally suited to an older couple who enjoy living on the land and staying active, without the demands of heavy stock work.
There is no mustering or yard work required, unless you would like to be involved.
This is not an absentee-owned property. We are not “city owners” — this station is our home base and has been in our family for generations. We are hands-on and value people who respect the land and the place they live.
Location:
The property is located approximately 285 km north-east of Broken Hill.
Please note: There is no local school available. Any schooling would need to be via homeschooling / distance education.

Maintaining electric-start diesel generators
-
Operating a small petrol pump for garden water
-
Repairing poly pipe when required

General care and maintenance of the garden and surrounds
-

Some mechanical knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential.
Accommodation & amenities:
-
Fully furnished, self-contained 3-bedroom house
-
Completely separate from the main homestead
-
Identified in photos as the house on the far left, surrounded by lawn
-
Reasonably large lawn area to maintain, with only a few trees and shrubs remaining after drought
