Painter- Government Contract Mount Isa

 We are recruiting experienced painters on behalf of QBuild, the Queensland Government’s leading provider of building and construction services.

Role: Painter

Rate: $47.30/hr + Allowances

Location: Based in Mount Isa - Projects span from Birdsville up to the Gulf

Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (9-day fortnight – every second Monday off)

Equipment: PPE and power tools provided

The role covers all aspects of painting — surface preparation, priming, coatings, and finishing — and may include some cross-trade tasks.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven trade painting experience
• Awareness of WHS standards
• Willingness to travel regionally as needed
