Station Cook

We are on the look out for a Station Cook based at Rice Lagoon - the outstation of Miranda Downs Station, in the heart of northwest Queensland’s Gulf Country, in 2025. This is seasonal position, with an August start and mid-November finish.

Station Cook Role

The Station Cook role includes:

-  providing healthy home-style meals for between 10 to 20 people daily (breakfast, morning tea, lunch and dinner)

- maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining area, cold room and butcher shop.

This position requires: 

• Cooking experience
• Willingness to learn beef cuts
• Excellent time management skills
• Positive attitude and a passion for cooking
• Ability to live remotely
