Description
We’re looking for someone, preferably a couple, to take care of our beautiful bush block in the Tablelands for a period. The place is in the development phase and the focus has been on fruit trees, orchids and native trees in the spirit of reforestation and self-sufficiency.
The daily tasks will be watering the garden, keeping the grass down and feeding the eight hens.
Experience with gardening / agricultural work on bush properties would be very helpful (such as knowing how to deal with water pumps and irrigation systems, handling maintenance issues / simple repairs when needed etc).
We’ll provide access to electricity and river water in addition to a rudimentary kitchen (fridge, utensils, cooking plates) in a spacious shed - this could also be turned into a sheltered relaxation space if desirable. You'll need to have your own caravan/ self contained van, and we have several options for where it could be based. While the block doesn’t have phone reception for calls, reception can be found a five minute drive away. Sms reception is spotty.
The position is open as soon as possible. Dates are flexible. For the right people, a long term arrangement is possible. For further details and to find out more, feel free to contact Em by mail or
send a text message to 0458687091 and I will give you a call.
