Are you friendly, hardworking and looking for a farm on which to help for Harvest 2025?
We are seeking one or two experienced tractor drivers.
Essential: We are looking for one or two people who have:
Experience on broadacre farms with tractors and other agricultural equipment
Excellent communication skills
Non-smoker (due to fire hazards) and experience with machinery operation.
Neat and tidy
Safe and careful machinery operator
Someone who takes initiative, has attention to detail and plans ahead
Honesty and integrity
It is also essential that you own a vehicle so that you may go shopping for food etc.
THE ROLE:
General Farm Hand(s): Would you like to help us on the farm with tractor driving, farm maintenance, pre harvest preparation, chaser bin driving, loading trucks, post-harvest maintenance and general farm duties?
THE FARM: Our farm is a broadacre cropping property west of Esperance in Western Australia. We grow wheat, canola and vetch. We also have horses and chickens.
ACTIVITIES: Tractor driving, farm machinery maintenance, loading grain into trucks, moving field bins from one silo pad to another, fencing and farm maintenance
SURROUNDING AREA: During your leisure time, you may wish to enjoy the myriad of different wildflower species in the region while bush walking or swimming in our river. The Southern Ocean is close by and brings many beautiful and unique beaches where you can go fishing or swimming or camping. The coastal town of Esperance is only 1.5hours away. Our helpers often go to Esperance or Hopetoun for the weekend to enjoy a swim at the beach, visit the library, meet locals or buy groceries.
ACCOMMODATION: Ranges from a house on the coast to ensuite rooms to plenty of room for a caravan/camper van with easy access to power and water and a bathroom. You will need your own vehicle to drive to the shops for food or to explore our beautiful region.
