Utilities Support Contractor

This Casual position is responsible for the maintenance of Essential Services (water samples & sewerage only) to the remote Indigenous community of Yuelamu in the Tanami Region, under supervision of the Senior Utilities Support Contractor based in nearby Yuendumu. You will be responsible for Quarterly reads of the electricity and power meters also.

This is a small community and the position requires 4 hours per day, with extra hours and overtime available through additional works including assisting the local health centre with medical evacuations.

$40.00 per hour Casual Rate with accommodation, Internet, utilities paid for, I-phone, 4WD work vehicle are all supplied.

A White Card and manual driver’s licence are essential, and the preferred applicant has a trade background in mechanical or plumbing, but applicants with a sound practical general handy man knowledge can be trained into the position.

Experience in working in remote areas is desirable.
