Description
Come and visit us at our sheep station at Rawlinna - located about 339 kilometres east of Kambalda in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. Rawlinna is the largest sheep station in Australia covering 2.5 million acres! The variation in flora and fauna and some incredible landscapes are not to be missed!
Just set up your van or motorhome in the homestead yard next to the lawn and gumtrees.
We are looking for a practical couple travelling with their own accommodation who would enjoy spending some time on this historical rural property helping with a mix of cleaning and handywork. The roles will be short term and run approximately three to six months.
These roles suits people who like staying active, enjoy practical work and are comfortable working independently.
We will be providing:
- meals and power
- Paid a day rate in line with our Enterprise Agreement
Your days will be spend completing a variety of tasks focused on:
Person 1: Handywork, painting, fixing things around homestead, cleaning up garden and compound area (front end loader use – experience required, license highly regarded)
Person 2: Cleaning, washing walls (of a flooded homestead), varnishing timber outdoor furniture, cleaning windows, sills and building walls, bathrooms
This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to lift, push and pull from 10-20 kilo's and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders.
