Part Time Caretaker/s Bruthen Caravan Park

The Committee of Management (CoM) are looking for an assistant-Caretaker/s for the Bruthen Caravan Park, on the banks of the Tambo River.

The Park is a non-profit community-based park. It is very manageable (a relaxed 24 powered & 10 camping sites). One amenities block including laundry exists along with a quaint bush hut kitchen. It is an easy 6–7-minute walk to the nearest hotel and township.  Football, cricket, netball, and tennis courts are on your doorstep along with the famed Rail Trail.

We are looking for a suitable single/couple to conduct shared Caretaker duties for the park (two other caretakers are already in location). The position would be on a job share 2 days per week basis (about 9am-6pm). Duties include (not limited to):

-working as part of a caretaker team;
-managing bookings and payments;
-conduct general gardening / mowing services (all equipment/fuel provided);
-clean and maintain amenities; and
-liaise with Committee of Management.

Term: The Committee are looking for short term appointments (4-6 months) (May/June to Oct/Nov. If suitable tenure can be extended.

In return for two days of care taking, you will receive – free site fees & utilities,

-mobile phone & tablet (both capped) (when on duty)
-laundry use
-a unique opportunity to experience all that East Gippsland offers from the base of the snow-capped mountains, to the sun, sand and sea. This really is a life style position. It’s a great way to see East Gippsland and all it offers.

In addition, if one of the other care taking team takes holidays or has days off there is an opportunity for additional work per week (daily allowance provided for any extra day/s worked).
